Both will be happy to be watered around the 2/3 mark. Of course you’re not wasting my time, I’m here to help!

This is so helpful! Almost all the plants I have are on here. But what numbers would you recommend for a dieffenbachia? And for a pilea aquamarine? I know you already have pilea peperomia, but I wasn't sure if they were the same number since it was specifically peperomia instead of just the pilea genus. I've only had plants for around 6 months, so I'm so sorry if I'm wasting your time! Thank you!!

I test about 3/4 of the way down the pot, in a couple of different spots. The only variations between plants is whether or not roots get in the way - though I’ve stabbed a few and they didn’t seem to mind.

Thanks - this is so helpful, and just bought my own single probe meter! As a rule of thumb, how far down in the soil should I test? Does that vary from plant to plant?

Prayer plants are the same family as Calathea, so 3 is fine, but they’re more tolerant of drying out, so 2 wouldn’t do them any harm. Strelitzia is probs around a 2 - they don’t mind drying out - but since they tend to be kept in bright light I’d check it every week or so.
