Hi our elephant ear plant is under cover in pergola from base to where leaves start it’s about 1.5 meters it healthy a just keeps growing …. Is there any way we can cut back from say the base and would it reshoot or would it destroy the plant .We have it supported in pot at the moment .

In reply to Jean. Yeah, it's really common in Alocasia to lose a leaf every time you get a new one. Sometimes they just go through phases of being like this, but check the roots to make sure they're healthy, and perhaps feed it if you haven't in a wild.
