I think it’ll be fine! It may just take a while to acclimate. They ALWAYS grow roots in awkward places :D

my monstera was a healthy cut off with 3 leaves which was propagated of course in a vase of water for several months until a root system was well formed. then, i planted it.... and months go by, and i could tell something was wrong--root rot!! so i decided to attach it to my aquarium. only the two puny little roots that survived are in the tank... but the roots are on the SIDE of the stem. so its super inconvenient cause the plant is hanging on its side and it was so hard to attach it to the tank but somehow i managed and its well secured. So, my question is, do you think my plant will grow like that and come back? I have a light over it as well and the tank is well stocked with fish and other plants (so there should be adequate nutrients and O2). I am just afraid there's no going back because the leaves are very wilted and the "roots" are pathetic. any input helps! thank you
