They&#039;re so difficult to find nowadays, but yeah, apparently their &#039;cast iron&#039; nickname refers to how hardy they are! I\ll have to keep my eye out for one.

No plant survives my mother, so unfortunately I have no hand-me-down plants BUT my jade plant is a cutting from my dad&#039;s and that thing is a beast now!]]></description>

One survived being outside for several winters completely forgotten about until I moved house.  I cut the leaves back, repotted, sprang back to life!]]></description>
