They’re so difficult to find nowadays, but yeah, apparently their ‘cast iron’ nickname refers to how hardy they are! I\ll have to keep my eye out for one.

No plant survives my mother, so unfortunately I have no hand-me-down plants BUT my jade plant is a cutting from my dad’s and that thing is a beast now!

I have several decedents from a 1960’s garden in Manchester (given to my mother) still going strong. One survived being outside for several winters completely forgotten about until I moved house. I cut the leaves back, repotted, sprang back to life!
